Ortiva Wireless

FOR RELEASE FEBRUARY 15, 2006

San Diego, Calif., February 15th, 2006 -- Ortiva Wireless, a provider of advanced server based software enabling dramatically improved mobile television streaming and web browsing, and the power behind the world's most advance Mobile-CDN, today announced that it has named Grover Righter to the position of interim vice president business development. Mr. Righter will be responsible for building the long term business model and initial team hiring in business development, sales, marketing and product management for Ortiva's world-class mobile TV, mobile video, mobile audio and mobile web delivery products.

"This is a rapidly growing market space, with new service offerings being announced daily for mobile consumers," said Mr. Righter. "Originally, the industry technologists believed that the faster bandwidth provided by 3G and beyond networks would assure very high quality for rich mobile content such as mobile television, video, audio and web. But the real world experience tells us that wireless networks will always be highly variable in the actual available bandwidth, and users will not always be in an area with excellent signal strength.

Ortiva's products enable the very best mobile experience regardless of the network, the congestion or the signal strength. We are able to dynamically optimize what the end user sees and hears in real-time - and this is tuned for each user individually, so that everyone gets a highly personalized and best-possible reception for their mobile content.

Ortiva's customers are mobile operators, MVNOs, mobile content providers and mobile content aggregators. We offer them the key competitive advantage of high-quality delivery for their content and media. Ortiva enables this best-in-services experience across 2.5G, 3G and beyond networks."

Grover Righter has held executive positions in business development, sales, marketing and product development at AT&T, Kabira, Novell, Geoworks, and SCO. He has significant experience in mobile telecommunications services, financial services, government and security-centric solutions. At Kabira, Grover directed the wireless J2EE and J2ME solution launch with Sun in 2003, which helped drive sales into major wireless carriers in the USA, Europe and Asia. His development teams designed the secure enterprise object directory at Novell and he headed the wireless content and services initiative at Geoworks, resulting in major sales to global telecom system providers. Grover is actively involved in the JCP, IETF, IEEE and ITU technical standards. He has degrees in mathematics and computer engineering and has completed the International Business Marketing program at INSEAD.
